Hot summer days and cool summer nights
Situated at 410 metres altitude Autheze enjoys wonderful hot summer days but the nights are cooler than on the Mediterranean coastal plain making it more pleasant than the sometimes stifling summer nights of the plain. We are in the beginning of the hill country and you can expect a little more rain than on the Mediterranean coast which means that the countryside is greener and more lush. Just 15 minutes drive takes you down into the Mediterranean garrigue country which in summer is dry and baked but very beautiful. Autheze is on a south facing hill and is protected from the northern winds.
